Maxx was founded in 1976, and together with Marshalls in the U.S., forms Marmaxx, the largest off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. With stores across the U.S., including Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, T.J. Maxx also operates an e-commerce site,, launched in 2013.
